Where do I store the recycled greywater?
- The Oasis can be supplied with its own tank, and Azuratec can supply and install additional tanks which store the recycled water. The size will depend on the amount of recycled water being produced by the home and any excess will simply overflow into the sewage system.
How long is it safe to store the water for?
- The Oasis produces recycled water that can be stored indefinitely whereas untreated greywater must not be stored for longer than 24 hours.
Do I have to perform any cleaning or maintenance?
- The Oasis is fully automatic and requires very little home owner maintenance. A simple service agreement is arranged after installation that will ensure your system is maintained properly for peace of mind.
What are the running costs of the system and the service agreement?
- There are no running costs to the home owner as all maintenance and consumables are provided in the service agreement which costs about $450 per year.
What happens and how will I know if the system breaks down?
- In the unlikely event of a malfunction, untreated greywater from the house will always overflow to the sewer system. The Oasis display panel will indicate the nature of the problem and an audible alarm will sound. A technician will visit your home and investigate the problem.
What happens if I go away for a holiday?
- The system will only operate on demand so if no greywater is being produced the system will remain idle.
What kind of approval is required to install a greywater system?
- You will need to get a permit from your local council which we can help you with.
Does installing a greywater recycling plant help with meeting the requirements of the NSW BASIX and the Vic. 5-Star rating systems?
- Yes, the Oasis easily accounts for the water saving requirements of both rating systems.
Can I locate the system inside my house or garage?
- Yes, the Oasis can be installed almost anywhere including outside the house, under the eaves or even inside the garage.
